Joel Duffield Family Support

Hello Friends, Family, and All,

My name is Billy Duffield. On May 12, 2022 our family lost a very special person in my brother, Joel Michael Duffield. He was diagnosed with a rare and difficult to treat form of liver cancer in October of 2020. As most of you can imagine, it was a very scary moment for Joel and all the people that cared about him. We all hear about cancer, but it seems far away until it isn't. Joel decided that day he was going to fight this battle with everything he had and win, there was never an ounce of quit in him. He went on to receive many types of treatment, including several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, trying to find the one that would be most effective. He and Cherl made multiple trips to Anchorage as well as to California, Texas, and Washington in search of a care team that could put together the best treatment plan going forward. Unfortunately, his cancer continued to progress to the point where he wasn't able to fight anymore. Joel didn't lie when he said he would fight with everything he had, and we're all so proud of him for showing true strength in the face of adversity. Throughout the journey, medical expenses continued to add up, along with being out of work for over a year and a half, and his family could use some help right now. They would never ask, neither would Joel during his fight, but I'm asking everyone for help to keep his wife and girls from having to deal with financial stress while trying to grieve for their husband and father. 100% of the contributions will go directly to Joel's wife and girls.
