Joe Exotic Haircut to Reduce Impact of COVID-19

This is your chance to fight the impact of COVID-19! I will cut my hair like Joe Exotic if we raise $5,000 for the United Ways of Utah and their Utah COVID-19 Community Response Fund . This means I will also be cutting it at home (salon level quality) and for every $1,000 over the goal, I will keep my hair like Joe for another day.

If you, like I, spent 5 hours and 14 minutes watching Tiger King then this can be the closest thing to buying back time you spent on that show.

$5.14 - less than Netflix for a month or 2 gallons of gas (think how much transit money is being saved right now)
$51.40 - Cost of two date nights... less of those happening too
$514.00 - Cost of the flight you won’t be taking

We are all effected by this pandemic, but each effected differently. If you are in a fortunate place where you can donate anything to help, then please consider doing so. As schools and businesses continue to shut down in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19, many children and families are left wondering how they’ll cover basic needs such as rent, mortgage, childcare, and food.

The Utah COVID-19 Community Response Fund supports organizations working with individuals who are disproportionately impacted by coronavirus, and the potentially devastating economic consequences of the outbreak on low-income families and individuals. It is designed to expand local nonprofit organizations’ capacity to address the economic impact on our communities’ most vulnerable citizens.

 Based on current needs, the fund will support programs and services including:

• Rent and mortgage assistance
• Crisis nurseries and childcare
• Healthcare services for under/uninsured
• 211 Information and Referral
