Hi, my name is Hailey Bragdon and I'm fundraising for my parents, Joe and Rebecca Bragdon. My dad was diagnosed with kidney disease on October 2, 2019. He has had over 20 surgeries and spent more than 5 months in the hospital combined. He also has appointments in southern California every 2-3 weeks. My mom has been his sole caregiver throughout it all and now she is the one donating a kidney. The chances of a husband and wife being a direct kidney match are 1 in 100,000, but my mom was recently approved to be a direct kidney donor to my dad. They will need to live near the Connie Frank Kidney Transplant Center at UCLA for 6-8 weeks after the surgery. Neither of them will be working during this time while they both recover. They will need to pay for their housing and appointments down south while also maintaining our family home in Bishop, Ca.
