My name is Emily and I am fundraising for myself and my family to cover bills and expenses during this time. My amazing father adopted myself and my siblings at a young age. He and my mother worked with CPS (child protective services) for nearly 15 years. In that time they foster cared so many children, they kept so many siblings together, they gave so much and never asked anything in return. They silently struggled with health ailments for so many years & now it is our family who need assistance.

After recently learning of my fathers passing, the company I worked for gave me a week off, unpaid, to mourn the loss of my father. Within that time frame they sent me a letter of termination. Although I qualify for unemployment, my benefits have run out as I was on unemployment throughout Covid & they will not reset until October. I do not have a source of income and cannot help my family the way the need. We are falling behind on bills & expenses.

My brother is autistic and lives at home with my mother currently, they need more support than I am able to give & I cannot be there for them when I cannot be there for myself.

This is such a difficult thing to ask but we need help. Anything helps, & while we like to remain private, I hope this gives you some insight to my life and the turmoil we are currently going through. Please, help.
