Jodi’s Chiropractic Mission Trip to Mexico and DR!
Donation protected
My name is Jodi Johnson and I am a chiropracTOR in the making! I am in my 5th of 10 trimesters at Cleveland University in Kansas City. I am blessed to be deeply involved with organizations on campus such as Kairos, SICA, Adjust Club, Campus Ambassadors, Student Council, as well as many others. I work three jobs: two as a radiologic technologist and one as a dance teacher for junior high and high school students. Needless to say, I stay busy and it keeps me driven! After my next term in school, I will be using our entire 2 week break from school to impact the communities in other countries through chiropractic service.

I have been given the opportunity to serve on my 2nd and 3rd mission trips this coming spring. April 27th-May 3rd I will serve in Sayulita, Mexico on an all women’s mission trip. Our fearless leader and founder of Nikau Chiropractic, Dr. Lauren Koedyk, accepted me to serve with her on my first ever mission trip one year ago. After an amazing week of service in Mexico, I will fly straight to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic for another week of serving. Dr. Mike Hudak and Dr. Casey Pride will be heading up a crew of students and doctors from May 3rd-May 9th. This is a mission trip they have done previously and are now excited to invite students to serve alongside them for the first time. I have already been and will continue to prepare myself to serving by training and practicing the art of chiropractic to improve my skills progressively every day.

What is Chiropractic? Chiropractic is a way to allow our bodies to heal themselves. Most of chiropractic focused on the spine which houses the spinal cord. The spinal cord is connected to the brain which controls the function of the ENTIRE body including our muscle motion, our moods, organ function, thought patterns and our overall expression health. When there is an interference such as dysfunction or disruption in our spine, it causes our brain to improperly send signals to the rest of the body. This interference is called subluxation. The purpose of the chiropractic is to adjust and remove these subluxations and allow the body and the nervous system to function and express at its optimal level.
Many people in the communities I will be serving do not have access to chiropractic care and I’ve been given the opportunity to serve them and help them express to their highest potential because everyone deserves the gift of chiropractic care!

I am beyond ecstatic to use my skills that I have trained many hours for to serve the communities of Sayulita and San Salvador. However, I cannot do it alone- this is your opportunity to make an impact. My goal to raise $3500 will cover all three international flights, baggage fees, housing accommodations, and food for the entire two weeks that I will be serving in Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

It is my greatest passion to serve others and an absolute blessing that I get to serve through chiropractic. At home all I need are my hands and my chiropractic table to serve, but it costs more to serve in other countries. Your donation will allow me to touch the lives of every individual my hands will touch in Mexico and the Dominican Republic and that is priceless. By helping me lessen the financial burden you allow me to serve others as the best version of myself I can be. In return, I promise to commit my time to perfecting my skill and expanding my knowledge so I can give the human being on my table exactly what they may need. I have infinite gratitude for your contributions.
