What started as a fundraiser to reunite Jo with his family after almost 11 years turned into support for emergency surgery on his Achilles tendon.

He landed wrong, no big accident, no great story— but one huge injury! He didn't just tear the tendon; it was a full rupture.

Jo had emergency surgery on the morning of November 15 to reattach the tendon to the bone. The doctor is confident the procedure was a success and expects Jo to make a full recovery. But it will likely take 3 months for him to walk again.

We are so grateful for the donations, prayers, words of encouragement, and other support we've received from our local community and friends around the world! With sudden medical expenses and loss of work, your support is needed now more than ever.

I'm learning (often the hard way) that no one succeeds in life alone, that my independence does not make me more worthy or lovable, and that there is no shame in asking for help. We are one. We cry together, and we will celebrate together!
