Home for the Holidays

Positive, strong, special, considerate, hardworking, happy, funny, generous, thoughtful...these words and so many more describe the amazing Mrs. Durand. I have known and worked with Cathy Durand at the Kittredge Elementary School for over 13 years and I can honestly say I have never met anyone like her. She gives her heart and soul into everything she does. She is constantly thinking of others before thinking about herself. Her infectious smile and hugs make everyone feel completely loved. She brings out the best in everyone, especially the children she works with.

But behind her smiles, Cathy holds a lot of weight on her shoulders. As a three time cancer survivor, Cathy has been through more in her lifetime than most will ever know. But again, you would never EVER know because she is so positive and smiles all the time.

Her North Andover friends and family want to show Cathy how much we love and appreciate everything she has done for Kittredge and North Andover. We have talked about different ways to celebrate Cathy and we believe she would be happiest this holiday season with her family, including her brand new beautiful Grandson, in Texas and we want to send her there!

Cathy does not like to have the spotlight on her (I told her we were doing something special for her and that she couldn't say no, lol), but she needs to be celebrated for the amazing person she is. She has brought joy to so many others so we want to bring joy to her! For every smile, for every hug, for helping wipe away tears, for your positive thoughts...we thank you, Mrs. Durand.
