I wanted to thank everyone who has already donated and for sharing my friends amazing story on FaceBook. I am so grateful for everyone's support, and I know Jon and Nikki are floored and overwhelmed with all kinds of emotion. Please continue to share their story!
Two of my dearest friends have been praying and hoping for a baby. I can't even express how badly they want a family. Jon and Nikki have been trying for almost 3 years now. They've gone through month after month of fertility treatments. They have had 4 miscarriages and 5 lost babies. I cannot even imagine the amount of pain they feel, and yet they continue to move forward.
In Rochester, NY they had a garage sale to raise funds. Being that I no longer live there, I wanted to make a contribution to the purpose of the garage sale. They have begun a new adventure to finding their forever baby, with the process of adoption.
I realize there are so many others out there, including close family, who struggle with infertility and taking the next step. I pray for each of you and hope you get your forever babies too. Today, I'm going to ask everyone who reads this story, to donate at least one dollar to Jon and Nikki. I could not be there to support their garage sale, so consider this your online JKGarageSale.
