For Finn

Donation protected
On Saturday the 18th of January 2025 tragedy fell on the Mills family when Sophie and Riley's son Finley (Finn) was severely burned in a tragic backyard accident. Little Finn is only 20 months old and has sustained majority deep dermal and full thickness (previously known as 3rd-degree) burns to 40% of his body.

Finn lives with his parents Sophie and Riley on the Eyre Peninsula in the country town of Cowell, which is 493km away from Adelaide.

Finn was taken via ambulance to the Cowell Hospital and then flown via SAAS MedSTAR to the Women's and Children's Hospital in Adelaide. He was taken into surgery and placed into an induced coma.

This is going to be a long road ahead for Finn and his family. He is going to require countless surgeries, skin grafts and ongoing therapy for years to come.

Sophie works as a teacher at the local primary school in Cowell and Riley is self employed as a carpenter in Cowell.

The family is a long way from home. Sophie is unable to go back to work whilst she stays with Finn in the hospital and Riley will need to take extended time off work and travel back and fourth from Cowell, whilst they focus on Finn's extremely tough road ahead to recovery.

If you can help in any way by either donating or sharing. We would love to raise some money towards household costs to help ease the financial pressures for Riley and Sophie, whilst they focus their time to help their little boy heal.
