my name is Flaus, and a year ago, I started helping an orphanage in Uganda
I received a dm on my Instagram from Ibrahim
he send me hello, sister
I believe he misunderstood something here, but let's go on
At first, I thought it would be another scam account
i went to verify the profile, and I saw that the pictures were legit
and the content was original. Everything looks normal.
before i replied ibrahim i prayed god and asked him to confirm this was his will
my intuition told me only to help if they ask for food!!!
i asked him how may i help you.
then he replied that they were starving with food!
alright god is here, my heart was on fire!
at the time, i wasn’t able to help the kids with a lot and not even with
a little
, but my friends
could
so i went to my instagram and posted a few stories asking, “who wanna help.”
without explaining a lot, i was looking for people that really wanted to help.
20 replied, 5 actually donated.
and we were able to send almost 500 dollars.
i didnt know at the time, but we changed those children lives!
on the same day i sent the money i was helping a friend
i made the donation right before i jumped in a truck to make a delivery
as i was driving i received a phone call!
nobody calls me whos that?
it was ibrahim, making a video call!
i love video calls!
i had to stop the truck to talk to them
this very first phone call, they changed my life! i was in shock!
the situation there was worst than i thought
uganda is a really poor country in the middle of africa
they lack water, food and a roof
they all sleep in small rooms that doesnt have a bed or any mattress.
they all sleep on the floor and i know ibrahim and simba wants to change that!
that day he said something that i will never forget
//for the first time we gonna be able to provide two meals a day//
i said what? what do you eat, he said some days raw black tea when they dont get food
that was something i wasn’t aware off, and showed me how small my problems are
that day i learned that if you have a roof, water and food, you dont have problems.
your life is probably too easy, and you became too soft
i remember this every time i get anxious about anything and start to overthink
i just need to remember that i have a home, food and water.
i eat what i want when i want. thats priceless
so i was saying that if you dont have food, water and a roof
you dont have problems right? right
because they dont have any of that
we were able to solve a few problems they had, like food, school sponsorship,
hospital bills, medications.
we manage to raise money even to help neighbors!
remember what i said about god to confirm if it was his will, i asked for a confirmation
i had this will to know where he’d spend the money on
but i never asked him i always tell them
“spend as you know its best”
so every time i sent funds
they keep sending me the receives of everything they spend the money on, if its rent
if its school fees, if its foor food …
i have never asked for any of that
i want to thank god for the life of Ibrahim miiro and Simba naogba
this project started with the late grandfather of them, “sekajiggo”
after he passed away, they kept track in order to help others experience
the greatness of god!
because you donated the life of those kids have been much better than ever before
and now i want to make it a little more interesting by solving the water and
roofing problem they are having
the goal is to build a water well and also a place they can call home
to costs to build a water well, the costs are around $10k
to get land to build a home with a farm for them to use it as a way to make money
by selling milk and eggs that would cost around $35k
with mattresses, beds, animals to produce milk and eggs and seeds, everything they
need to start a new session in their lives! They deserve this!
so now i just updated the gofundme target to $50k
we are also in the process of making it oficial as a ngo
under the name of “Jireh children ministries.”
We are on a journey to make those children's lives better!
by myself, i wouldn’t be able to do any of this
of everything i did in my life
i know i did right when I made those four stories a year ago
they think i changed their lives, but they changed mine.
God uses nonsense to make us understand his purpose
so whatever god told you to do
