Hi all - We need your help!
This is Yann, Naomi, Jess and Courtney checking in!
Last year in July, the 4 of us had the chance to work in a small Cambodian orhpanage in Phnom Penh and teach english for three weeks. Siblings Yann and Naomi from Brisbane and best friends Jess and Courtney from Perth became the best of friends teaching alonside eachother.
Altogether, we became super close with the staff members and the wonderful children we had taught! So we decided that our support for these people would not conclude when our trip concluded.
The four of us have been supporting the orphanage named SCCDO ever since.
We have been able to supply the staff and children with rice when food was tight, school uniforms for all the children so they can now attend school, school materials such as pencils and pens and fresh clothes. Excitingly, we are also funding an 18 year girl through her University Medicine degree starting in 2015 at UHS (http://uhs.edu.kh/uhs/)
Together the 4 of us are heading to Phnom Penh, Yann on the 15th of February and Naomi, Jess, Courtney on the 22nd of March. We will be teaching english and hopefully with the help of our family and friends, we will be able to supply SCCDO with new mattresses, hygiene supplies, clothes, food, and necessary living equipment.
