Hi I'm Nick, and I'm fundraising to support the Jigalong Youth & Cultural Centre - a charitable programme delivered by the charitable trust Jigalong Community Inc (ABN: 73028407150). Jigalong is a remote Aboriginal community located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The traditional owners of the land are the Martu people.
Last Saturday, two dedicated staff members were involved in a serious vehicle accident while traveling between Newman and Jigalong. Thankfully, they are ok - but the Centre's vehicle is completely written off. Due to the age of the vehicle, as well as not being suitable for the challenging environmental conditions of remote Outback roads, the insurance payment is expected to be minimal.
The Centre urgently needs a reliable, fit-for-purpose 4WD vehicle to safely navigate the challenging unsealed roads in the region. I'm aiming to raise $35,000 to top up the insurance and help purchase a suitable replacement, as well as a SOS beacon and a satellite phone. This vehicle is essential for staff to continue supporting the Jigalong community with vital services and programmes, including food supply runs. Every contribution, big or small, will make a real difference.

2. Road Hero - $500+
- As above, plus:
- Name listed on the 4WD vehicle decal as a supporter
3. Outback Partner - $2000+
- As above, plus:
- Name or business logo on 4WD vehicle decal as a project supporter.
- Total can be either in the form of a single donation over $2000, or collective donations raised by staff within a single organisation or company that totals over $2000.
4. Major Sponsor - $10,000+
- As above, plus:
- Prominent placement of name or business logo on 4WD vehicle as a major sponsor.
- Opportunity to discuss other potential acknowledgements of support.
- In-kind support considered towards total donation figure for major sponsor category, such as vehicle procurement.
Please note that I am not affiliated with the Jigalong Youth & Cultural Centre. I have their permission to raise funds for this purpose, but any discussions about other potential forms of acknowledgement for larger donations will be discussed directly with their team.
