Liz Needs Help…

Liz has always been there to help to anyone in need. She volunteered as a Girl Scout leader for several years, always teaching the girls in her troop the importance of helping the community. She helps her friend at her store, and volunteers at the Middleville Free Library, trying to keep the doors open, despite knowing the pain she’ll be in afterward. Now, she needs help.

Liz battles MS, Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, recurring blood clots, and chronic back pain, the combination of which leaves her debilitated after the smallest amount of movement or activity. She’s had more than 40 surgeries, but because of blood clots, she’s unable to have surgery to help relieve the back pain. As a single mother of a daughter in high school, a daughter in college, and an extremely low income, Liz has been struggling to make ends meet on her own. Because of her health, she’s unable to work, making the situation even worse.

Liz needs a new roof… BADLY. It’s leaking into the attic and cannot be repaired. It has to be replaced. She’s called every agency possible, looking for ways to take care of this herself. Unfortunately, there’s nothing out there to help her. With her permission, this page has been set up to try to help get her a new roof. Anyone who knows Liz, knows that she doesn’t like asking for help. That’s why this is so important. This is her last hope.
