Helping George

Hi my name is Lisa and I have been raising money to help George our local Big Issue seller .

George was knocked down by a car in November outside Waitrose on his way home and sustained life changing injuries . No compensation has been awarded and his daughter Lina supports the family by selling The Big Issue in his place . Initially I wanted to raise money to contribute to the family ‘s considerable travel expenses so that they could visit him . Thanks to the generosity of donors we were able to help them visit their much loved Dad .

I am reaching out again with an urgent update . George was briefly discharged from hospital with complex needs to a highly unsuitable rental property . His condition deteriorated significantly and he has been returned to hospital .

The sad reality is that this family cannot afford the additional rent for suitable housing and without this George may not come home.

I am wanting to raise more funds to help this lovely family to find this for him .
