JGW First Annual Thanksgiving Feast Celebration

We as the JG Whittier Middle School take pride in our diverse community and large student population. This year, we would like to do something extra special for them and their families. Therefore, we have established a committee to organize our First Annual Thanksgiving Feast Celebration, as a means to reach out to the families in our community who would otherwise not enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. This event is scheduled for Thursday, November 21, 2019.  The event is free of charge and open to our entire school community, however we are in dire need of funding for this event. We plan on hosting at least 1,000 individuals for this dinner. The event will be staffed by JGW Teachers, Administration, and Support Staff, who will set up, cook, serve, and clean. We will also be hosting activity tables for the little ones. Our school community consists of 540 students who attend grades 5 -8, and we expect a BIG crowd. We write to ask you and anyone with the means to do so to consider making a donation to our Thanksgiving Family Celebration by Nov. 14th, 2019. Thank you so much for your consideration!
