Jewish & Israeli community of Lahaina
Donation protected
Aloha and Shalom,
My name is Ido and I have lived in Lahaina for the past 10 years.
I'm helping to raise money for our community of Israelis and Jewish people who lived in Lahaina and suffered tremendous losses and irreparable hardship in the wildfire last week.
Families with children, small business owners, young couples and young workers, who had invested their entire savings in homes, businesses and places of employment, all of which were destroyed in the fire.
In the effort to help each other, we all did everything we can to help one another in the past few days. From transportation to safety, hosting, searching, renting and booking accommodations to those that had no place to go, supply food, water and basic supplies etc.
that been said, it is still not enough and we need help.
The donations will help families and young people who have lost their homes to find housing and assist them with food, clothing and support for their children. It will also help those who’d lost all kinds of personal properties that are either irreparable, irreplaceable or uncovered by insurance. Small businesses, that have suffered an unbelievable and unreasonable loss, to get back on their feet and rebuild and so much more.
At the end of the day, if there is one thing I had learned in the past week, that thing is that we, Israelis and Jewish communities, must help and support each other during those times of need. If not us, there will be no one else.
Many thanks and toda raba
