Con mucha humildad y el corazón en la mano, queremos compartir la situación por la que está pasando nuestro papa, esposo, padre y abuelo, quien siempre fue un hombre activo, saludable y lleno de vida, a pesar de sus 73 años.

A mediados de abril y mayo de este año, comenzó a sentirse diferente. Pensamos que tal vez era normal por la edad o por llevar una vida menos activa últimamente. Quienes lo conocen saben que siempre fue el tipo de persona que impresionaba por su energía: siempre moviéndose, trabajando, haciendo cosas. Era difícil creer que ya tenía más de 70.

Lamentablemente, en mayo su salud se deterioró de manera repentina y nos preocupó. Tras varias citas médicas, en junio nos dieron una noticia que jamás imaginamos escuchar: encontraron un tumor cerebral que apuntaba a ser de origen cancerigeno.

El 20 de junio fue sometido a una operación para extraer una muestra del tumor y realizar una biopsia para saber que tipo de cancer es y como tratarlo. Desde ese día, ha permanecido hospitalizado. Lo que inicialmente se estimaba que sería un proceso de alrededor de dos semanas, ya ha superado un mes, y los resultados no han sido los mas alentadores...

Además, debido a la operación, parte de su movilidad se vio comprometida. Actualmente se encuentra en rehabilitación dentro del hospital, ya que necesita terapia para recuperar movimiento y fuerza en un lado de su cuerpo.

En medio de todo esto, su esposa, quien era el principal sustento económico de la casa, tuvo que dejar de trabajar para poder estar con él día y noche. Desde hace un mes duerme en una silla en el hospital, acompañándolo en todo momento, con las preocupaciones normales de salud, pero también con las de los gastos diarios que no se detienen.

Por eso, con mucha gratitud y desde el corazón, hemos abierto esta campaña. Queremos pedir apoyo para ayudarles a sobrellevar los gastos durante este proceso, mientras la familia se enfrenta a lo que venga, buscando mantenernos unidos y fuertes.

Sabemos que no es fácil para nadie, pero cualquier ayuda, por pequeña que sea, significa muchísimo para ellos y para todos nosotros. Gracias por leer, por compartir, y por ser parte de este momento tan difícil.

With deep humility and our hearts in our hands, we want to share the situation our beloved husband, father, and grandfather is currently going through, a man who, despite being 73 years old, has always been active, healthy, and full of life. Around mid-April and May of this year, he began to feel different. At first, we thought it might just be age or the result of a less active lifestyle lately. Those who know him know that he’s always been the kind of person who impresses others with his energy, constantly moving, working, doing something. It was hard to believe he was over 70. Sadly, in May, his health suddenly declined, and we grew concerned. After several medical appointments, in June we received news we never imagined hearing: a brain tumor was found, which appears to be cancerous. On June 20th, he underwent surgery to remove a sample of the tumor and perform a biopsy to determine the type of cancer and how to treat it. Since that day, he has remained hospitalized. What was initially expected to be a two-week process has now stretched beyond a month, and the results so far have not been encouraging… In addition, due to the surgery, part of his mobility has been affected. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation in the hospital, needing therapy to regain movement and strength on one side of his body. Amid all of this, his wife, who was the main source of income for the household, had to stop working to stay by his side day and night. She has now spent over a month sleeping in a hospital chair, caring for him every step of the way, carrying not only the emotional weight of this health crisis, but also the worry of everyday expenses that keep adding up. That’s why, with deep gratitude and from the bottom of our hearts, we’ve created this campaign. We’re asking for support to help them get through this difficult time, as the family faces whatever comes next, doing our best to stay strong and united. We know times are tough for everyone, but any support, no matter how small, means the world to them, and to all of us.
