Jessica's Journey to Safety and Stability

Hi friends and family,

My Name is Christine and I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my sister Jessica and her two young children, Serena (6) and Jaiden(7 months).

Recently, my sister has become a survivor of domestic violence. Although she is doing her best, the mental, emotional and physical traumas she has experienced as a result has taken a severe toll on her, while trying to be the best mother she can be to her children has proved challenging. This has led her to need to leave her previous home she shared with her abuser, and temporarily move in with our mother. While we are so grateful she has a place to stay for now, the reality is that it is a very small apartment and cannot accommodate my sister and her two kids. This is understandably a very difficult time for my family and due to not having childcare, my sister is currently unable to work, which adds a tremendous financial strain on an already traumatic situation. While I am able to support in some way, I alone cannot provide all that my sister and my niece and nephew need at this time, and my mother already works two jobs trying to support herself. It’s never easy to ask for help, but there comes a point where you need to, and that time is now. I ask that you please share this, and donate if you are in a place to do so.
