Jessica Bowers (Jessica Poduska) was critically injured early Saturday morning (12/23/2017). She fell down the stairs of a friend's home and suffered a serious head injury, as well as a lower spine injury, and was taken to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. She is currently in serious condition and in the neurological intensive care unit at Shock Trauma, University of Maryland Medical Center. She is receiving the best care available at one of the best facilities in the world. Although her condition is critical there is still hope. Jessica has a very strong will and if anyone can recover from this, she can. Right now, we have to take things one day at a time and monitor her response to the treatment she is receiving.

Jessica is an English Teacher at Walkersville High School.  But she is so much more than than!  She is an amazing mother to her son, Stevie Ray.  She is a singer, advocate, and friend but most of all she is a Fighter!
