We are all still in shock at the events that have unfolded over the past few months.
Jessica and the kids have been out of their home since November due to a mental health crisis that their husband/father has been facing. As many of you know Jessica has a home based salon that she works from so this made it impossible for her to be working and providing for herself and her 3 kids.
Throughout the months his mental health declined and on Friday the 12th police responded to a mental health call at their home which escalated ending up in a police stand off at their home in which the police had to enter the home with use of tear gas. Entering the house the next was devestating for Jessica. When she left in November she had only taken the clothing her and the kids needed at the time. Now, everything in her home was covered in shattered glass and tear gas. Her children’s rooms, from bedding and stuffed animals, to clothing and furniture were covered. The sweet trinkets that represented fun trips and memories were destroyed. We had an outpouring of love from people who helped move everything out of the house and to clean and save what we could but so many things were unable to be save. We are so grateful for all the kindness she has been shown at this heartbreaking time. We would like to help Jessica get started replacing essential things for her kids. On top of these expenses she is also facing the repair of her home before her lease is up in the next few weeks. If you would like to help please know that we would be so thankful!
