Hello all, one of my closest friends and her husband have been together for almost 17 years. Throughout this time together, their deepest desire has been to have a baby. After surgery, medical tests, and medical procedures, they have still been unable to conceive. After many years of trying, they finally have the chance to have a child of their own after becoming legal guardians of a baby girl. Jessenia had the pleasure of seeing the baby as she was birthed by her biological mom, and Claudio was able to walk in right after and greet his baby girl. They were able to name her and have raised her for the past 6 months. Because they are legal guardians, they have done this without any financial assistance from any state programs. They are parents (like many of us) that are trying to make the best out of an unexpected baby being born with the resources that they have. The level of care and love that they have demonstrated for this child truly makes them worthy of being called "Mom" and "Dad." However, the process is not finished.

In order to conclude this process, they need a home study completed and payment for attorney fees. Please consider donating - not only will they officially be able to adopt her as their own, but they will also be able to help a child in need :)
