Please consider helping Kenny and Katie Mills as they continue to split their time between home with their 2 year old Jackson and twins, Josiah and Jesse at Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, NC .  The Pre-mature twins, Jesse and Josiah, were only 4 weeks old when they were admitted to the hospital on January 3rd, 2019 with pneumonia and the flu. The twins have been in the hospital for 2-3 weeks. Can we all pitch in and help this sweet family get through such a rough time??

From Kenny & Katie: 
Last Sunday, we made the decision to take Jesse to the hospital. He was coughing to the point of turning blue. We found out that he has pneumonia, coupled with the flu.

Quickly, they decided to run a test and when they did, his left lung collapsed. When taking a look at the lung, the X-ray showed that he had an air pocket on an internal portion of his lung. They put in a chest tube and began treating this as well as his flu and pneumonia. Also, at some point they tried to put an IV in to his leg and it ultimately failed and leaked into his leg, causing it build up and rupture- causing a 2nd degree burn that is now being treated as well.

We’ve met with doctors about the air on his lung and have decided to not do surgery right now and evaluate him over the next 6-12 months to see if surgery is needed.

Because of all of this, we decided to have Josiah checked out as well and he tested positive for the flu as well. Both boys have been in the ICU since last Sunday. Josiah has healed pretty quickly and is now back to breastfeeding and we are hoping for him to come home this weekend.

Jesse has gotten better over the last few days and despite the air on his lung, is moving in the right direction. We don’t have a timeframe on when he may go home. Honestly, for Jesse this could have been bad. We are grateful that the Lord is healing him- both of them

Please pray for our boys to be healed. Katie’s heart to be mended- this has been really hard on her momma heart. For Jackson to get some normalcy back to his life. For the Lord to provide for our family. !"
