Hi, my name is Tina Unrue. I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of friend who needs support.

She's a single mother, a teacher, and raising a large family. While she's dedicated her career to supporting other people’s children, she's been quietly carrying serious financial and emotional demands of her family.

Right now, she is facing a very real and urgent challenge: she is behind on her mortgage and at risk of foreclosure.

Things were good for a long while and she was comfortable financially. But as is the case with many of us, one unexpected thing here and there compounded, and the financial comfort dissipated.

She did her best to keep up on her bills amidst the unexpected expenses, but things snowballed and now the threat of losing her home is upon her.

She's SO close to stability, though! Once her remaining car balance (under $1,000) is paid, she will immediately regain $474 per month to apply toward housing and necessities.

She has done everything she can to right the ship and continues to explore all options:

• She reached out to me for help and has confided in other trusted friends

• She's requested a mortgage loan modification

• She's reached out to Catholic Charities

• She's contacted a non-profit credit counseling agency

• She continues to work full time and show up for her students and children every day

This fund is being created to:

• Help bring her mortgage current and stop foreclosure

• Pay off the remaining car loan balance

Every dollar raised will go directly toward keeping her family housed and stable. IF any donations are obtained beyond what's needed for housing and transportation stability, they'll go toward holiday gifts for the family.
