Dragon – MLD metachromatic leukodystrophy - lethal genetic disease 

Jerzy Is a 3 year old boy from Poland. He is fighting for his life. Deadly genetic disorder is rapidly destroying his brain taking away vital functions. 


Not too long ago he could walk on his own and form sentences. He’s getting worse. Still, he can crawl and make out some words. 

If we don't do everything in our power, the disease will take all his abilities away until there is nothing left. 

As of now there is no cure… and we are not giving up. Jerzy and his mom are waiting to enter into an experimental treatment in Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.  The treatment, consisting of crucial enzyme replacement will start in July 2019. Physical therapy is ongoing. We need the funds now!

The clinical trial is free of cost, however it does not cover the necessary physical and speech therapies. Costs of these treatments reach far beyond our family’s means, especially with the burden of quitting our jobs and re-location to USA. 

We are looking for physical and speech therapies in Chicago area who would want to donate sessions. 

Also looking for help with plane tickets for Jerzy's dad and sister to be here with him.
