These 3 beautiful children have lost their father. Their mother is now left alone to care for them in every way especially financially. Arturo was the sun that shined on them from the day of their birth, to the last moments they had with him in the hospital. It is very difficult for all of them to accept that half of their hearts are now gone. Arturo was such a loving, patient, resilient man, who fought hard for his family and always put them first. At the age of 38 (2005), Art had a major heart attack that left him on life support for 4 months, although everyone did not expect him to survive, he fought with all his might to come back to his family, he had 2 little ones at the time that would have been different people without him. They were blessed a year later and welcomed their 3rd baby. In January of this year Art had another heart attack and had a stent placed to repair an artery, this heart attack damaged his kidneys and so they began the journey to try and slow down the kidney failure. In April he began a treatment which lead to his weakening health. They had no idea this would weaken his heart so significantly and his life would end so unexpectedly. They knew he would be ill during the treatment, but by end of June he would be on track to have a kidney transplant next year.
Nothing could have prepared them for him to leave. June first Jenny received a call from the ICU at 1 in the morning, the nurse on the line told her they were doing CPR and trying to bring Arturo back, she needed to get to the hospital emmediately. That phone call will ring in her head for the remainder of her life. Jenny can only hope to survive what’s to come for her children, hide from them the sorrow and fear she feels that she will never hold her other half's hand and discuss, argue, and finally agree on any part of their future.
Pray for them and thank you for your support. Every dollar raised would be a blessing for the Bonilla family.
