Jennifer Donaldson Union Relief Fund

On June 11th, 2019, Jennifer Donaldson, Registered Nurses Association Vice President, was terminated from her position at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after 28 years of service for UCMC for her participation in a video on April 18th informing Union members of a recent settlement reached between the Union and Hospital regarding Retention bonuses and Staffing Ratios. Jennifer had no prior disciplines on her record.

Nov. 26th, 2018, Jennifer’s husband was seriously injured while bringing Christmas decorations out of their basement. He underwent surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center the following day and has had 5 subsequent surgeries.  His injury left Jennifer Donaldson as the sole breadwinner, provider of Healthcare, prescription coverage, and caretaker until her recent termination. 

Jennifer has served as a Clinical Ladder Nurses for over 20 years, has taught as adjunct faculty at the University of Cincinnati teaching OB clinicals to nursing students, is a Southwest Ohio Nurses Association Board Member, volunteers in the Medical Tents at local 5K races, and has raised money for the Million Hearts Campaign.

Funds will be utilized so Jennifer and her husband's housing, medical, and financial situation remain stable while Jennifer seeks employment and her grievance is processed.
