Many Westmountians know Jen and Jonny Armstrong. Right now, Jonny and Jen need our help. Jenine, the mother of Jonny’s daughter Emily, lost her battle with depression and committed suicide this week, and there are big adjustments to be made. These unexpected life changes are causing a significant financial issue for the them as they manage funeral expenses, moving, unfortunate legal costs, and other expenses that are arising. Jonny’s daughter also has a four legged friend left temporarily homeless in this situation, so there will be a need for help with temporary fostering of Emily’s new puppy as they sort out changes in residence to accommodate him.
The puppy is a 5 month old German Shepherd, and neither of their homes can accept her. Because of this Jonny will have to find a new place for he and Emily to live.
Emily’s mom had no extended family, and is engaged in a legal battle with her ex-husband, so Jen and Jonny are all that Emily has left. They are very concerned about Emily’s mental health due to the ongoing terrible depression that led to her mother’s suicide, as well as the past suicide of Emily’s grandmother, and know that they will need to invest in some counselling.
Can you help? Jen has been a helper for many others in our neighbourhood and now she, Jonny and their children need our support. Any amount you can pledge would be appreciated.
