Jeffery's Homecoming Fund

Hello! I'm Dorsey, and I am setting up this fundraiser on behalf of my good friend Jeffery, who I met in 2014 through Flying Over Walls/SF Black & Pink (an LGBTQ abolitionist prisoner penpal project). I'm so excited that Jeffery is finally being released from prison, and we are trying to raise some money to help pay his living expenses as he gets back on his feet after many years of incarceration. Despite spending millions on incarceration and policing, the State of California can only be bothered to give a paltry $200 of gate money to released prisoners, so we really have to rely on community for support. Any amount helps, and sharing the fundraiser is super appreciated as well - many thanks for the support!

"Hello, my name is Jeffery Dukes. I'm 57 and was born in Delaware State. I'm in prison for 30 years to life for unoccupied burglary under the Three Strikes Law.

I've been in prison now for 25 years and I just got found suitable for parole on December 28, 2022. I look forward to being out with family and friends, I love music, cooking, reading, and all outdoors activities; I'm an open person, love pets, play drums, swimming. I'm starting my life all over after so long, I would love any help.

Jeffery will be released in April, and I will transfer all money raised here directly to him upon his release. Once he is able to set up a bank account, I will also switch over this fundraiser to deposit directly to his account.
