Help us support our sibling Jeff and wife Christine in accessing the Canada Disability Savings Grant (RDSP) this year.
Jeff and Christine are thoughtful, resilient, and deeply engaged in their community as they navigate a range of physical and systemic challenges in daily life. Recently, additional financial pressure has made things more difficult at a critical time.
They are active with several organizations in Saskatoon, including CNIB Saskatchewan, Spinal Cord Injury Saskatchewan, Adaptive Soccer SK, and local expressions of the Queer community. These connections are an important source of support and belonging.
The RDSP program is a vital tool for long-term stability. Each year, personal contributions are matched and multiplied by the federal government—up to 300%—making even modest donations go a long way.
In previous years, the required baseline contribution was made by Jeff’s parents. That support has been rescinded after Jeff and Christine put necessary boundaries in place to protect their health and well-being while continuing to heal from past family and religious trauma.
As a result, they are at risk of missing out on this year’s government matching funds. We are asking our networks to help bridge that gap and give them a softer landing after this support was withdrawn unexpectedly just before Christmas.
Any amount helps significantly, and we are deeply grateful for your generosity and care. Thanks for your consideration.
With gratitude,
Kevin & Stephanie Hall
