Jeff and Cathy McRoberts cancer fight

For those who are not aware, part of our family has been struck with this horrible desease called cancer, again. My brother in law Jeff McRoberts and his wife Cathy are both under different types of treatment and could use some moral as well as financial support.

About a month ago we got the results of Cathy’s latest scan. She hadn’t had chemo since September because it seemed that the tumor may have been developing a resistance to the previous regimen of chemo. Turned out that the tumor had grown. So she’s back on a different regimen now, just finished her second round.

After Jeff’s open heart surgery in November, his cancer treatment was postponed for a month and a half. This week is the end of the first phase of radiation. The next phase is April 10th.

The treatments are very difficult for both and it has been challenging to keep them in good spirits.

Now there are new Doctor’s recommendations. The possibility of seeing a neuroendocrine specialist in New York or Houston if Cathy’s scans don’t show improvements.

They will need any help they can get and I know they both have made a great impact on the lives of not only their students but the lives of family and friends.

We appreciate from the bottom of our hearts your kindness and support in these rough times and we have faith they will both continue to fight this monster disease.
