On July 23, 2022, my husband Michael had a serious accident and has been dependent on full-time care ever since. From that day on, our lives changed completely. We have two small children who need my attention, and at the same time, I have to take care of Michael.

Until now, we have covered all costs from our savings and have done everything possible to manage on our own. But after such a long time, our strength—and especially our financial resources—are running out. His income is missing, and the costs of care, along with our daily living expenses, are pushing us to our limits.

Due to our financial hardship, no further surgical procedures can be performed, as these treatments abroad must be paid for privately, and I simply cannot afford the costs. These procedures could significantly improve Michael’s quality of life and aid in his recovery, but without financial help, they remain out of reach.

Our children miss their father dearly, and as their mother, I try my best to be there for everything—but it is incredibly difficult. I often forget to take care of myself, and the emotional and physical strain has become overwhelming.
