Hello, this is my aunt Rita who unfortunately passed away on 9/25/2022. She had been feeling sick the last week of August and was admitted to St Joseph hospital. After they did several blood work they found she had Tuberculosis, she had to transfer to another hospital who had a specialist and could help. Unfortunately by this time Tuberculosis had spread to her spine fluids that flow to the brain. This caused her health to deteriorate and her brain started swelling. The doctors had to relieve pressure from the skull, at this time my aunt had been intubated to help her breathe. Even though there were many attempts to bring Rita back the damage to her brain was irreversible. Life support was removed from my aunt and by late night Sunday she passed away. Rita’s family is now left with great grief and with a lot of hospital and funeral arrangements bills to pay, any help and support will be greatly appreciated.
