Our new guy Jean-Luc, has been rushed to the ER vet and is in very, very guarded condition. He has double pneumonia. Jean-Luc's body will need full supportive treatment for the next 3 days...oxygen, IV antibiotics and fluids. He has been in an oxygen tent since this afternoon so thankfully his temperature has gone down from 107 to 104.7. You may recognize him as Bandit, he was surrendered to a local shelter because he has an auto-immune disorder that affects his eyes. This condition has compromised his body so he will need even more help to get well.
His Emergency Vet costs will are estimated to be around $2000 per day so his medical costs will easily exceed $6000.
