JD and Addie Need Your Support Now

On February 21st, JD Lunt and Addie Kugler-Lunt were abruptly let go from their positions as Host/Artist In Residence and Office & Retreats Manager as part of a major restructuring at the summer camp and retreat center where they had lived and worked for two years, as well as coordinated and led the twice-yearly Artists & Writers' Retreats, since 2005.

The elimination of their positions was done without any notice and very little severance. The order to leave the house where they had been living for two years was just 30 days, which makes their options for where to go next extremely limited. We, their creative community of friends and colleagues, are concerned at the position our dear friends find themselves in after having worked so tirelessly and applied their lives so fully in their time at the place.

As they rebuild their lives and find new accommodation and employment in a challenging economy, we want to cushion their fall and ease their transition into their next chapter, which will certainly be as awesome as the preceding chapters. JD and Addie have supported the Artists and Writers community, and the larger summer camp and retreat community, in so many ways to help us grow and flourish. Now it's our turn to send them forward as they find new ways to apply their unique talents and dedication in the world!

Funds collected will be used to pay for moving expenses, rent, food, utilities, and basic household expenses while they look for new work, and get established in a new location on an expedited timeline.
