Hi!
my name is Ann Marie Danimus and I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of Ed and Travis to pay for final expenses for Travis Hitchcock who passed recently due to a massive heart attack. Travis was the breadwinner as Ed has been fighting his own medical battles and all of the preparations that were made were done with the idea that Travis would live beyond Ed. Travis’ unexpected passing has left Ed in a difficult position in many aspects, but the cost of cremation and a memorial are beyond his ability.
Whatever you can do to help would be greatly appreciated.
I’ve asked Ed to write a statement about Travis which I am, including below.
Thank you,
Ann Marie

A Tribute to Travis Hitchcock
Travis Hitchcock was a man defined not by the immense struggles he faced, but by the unwavering strength, boundless love, and profound faith with which he met them. For more than a decade, he battled relentlessly against severe health challenges, overcoming infections, surviving liver cancer in 2018, and enduring a liver transplant in 2019. These physical trials were compounded by the loss of his home, business, and beloved truck during the COVID pandemic, forcing him to take on exhausting work for little pay.
Yet, even as he faced these hardships and his health continued to decline, Travis’s character shone brightest. Two years ago, despite his own great struggle, he selflessly stepped up to care for his terminal friend and partner, Ed Hvolboll. He worked tirelessly, ensuring they were never without a home, even when it seemed they were just days from losing it. Each morning, he greeted the day with a happiness and outlook that inspired everyone around him including Jesus himself.
Travis kept his pain hidden from the world, suffering in silence through the need for a quadruple bypass and dialysis. He was in the process of launching a new business, pouring his final efforts and resources into a hopeful future. Tragically, Travis suffered a massive heart attack at home and passed away in Ed's arms. Though first responders were able to briefly revive his heart, he never regained consciousness, and on Sunday evening, Ed made the agonizing decision to turn off the ventilator. As his soul left his body, Travis’s arms stretched toward heaven, a final, poignant sign of his faith.
A devout Catholic, Travis lived his Christianity not just in name, but through his works. His favorite verse, "Tell me of your faith, and I will show you my faith through my works," was a guiding principle. He was a man who helped the poor and fed the hungry, living a life of quiet grace and self-sacrifice.
Travis is survived by his friend and partner of 34 years, Ed Hvolboll, his faithful Boxer dog Marnie Hitchcock, and his loving Boxer dog, Isaac Hvolboll.
Rest in peace, Travis Hitchcock. We had so many great years together, and I will do my best to stay on this planet to see that each of our dogs lives their fullest lives. We will all see each other in heaven again.
