➤ CONTEXT
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reports that the toll from the ongoing attacks on Lebanon consists of: over 1,029 killed, 2,786 injured, and 1 Million Internally Displaced People (since early March and as of 23.03.2026). Displaced People account for ~20% of the country’s population. The toll includes the killing of 118 children and 40 health workers.
In order to respond to immediate and long-term needs, JCI Lebanon has launched an emergency fundraiser.
➤ STRATEGY
1) Immediate response: thanks to the support of the international community, JCI Lebanon will be able to provide urgent aid.
- Beirut: Distribution of hygiene kits and urgent needs for families in shelters, alongside mental health sessions.
- Beqaa: Distribution of medicine to displaced people in remote areas, in addition to the provision of emotional support.
- Chouf: Distribution of books, toys and entertainment for children, accompanied by interactive sessions.
2) Long-term response: JCI Lebanon is committed to providing strategic and sustainable solutions to the challenges emerging from the current attacks and
unfolding humanitarian crisis. These initiatives will be established in response to the subsequent needs and available resources, and will be in line with JCI RISE, primarily tackling Mental Health & Wellbeing, Economic Recovery and Workforce Empowerment.
