<div>The Lebanese Ministry of Health reports that the toll from the ongoing attacks on Lebanon consists of: over <strong>1,029 killed, 2,786 injured, and 1 Million Internally Displaced People</strong> (since early March and as of 23.03.2026). Displaced People account for ~20% of the country’s population. The toll includes the killing of 118 children and 40 health workers.

<div><strong>In order to respond to immediate and long-term needs, JCI Lebanon has launched an emergency fundraiser.</strong>

<div>➤ <strong>STRATEGY</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>1) Immediate response</strong>: thanks to the support of the international community, JCI Lebanon will be able to <strong>provide urgent aid</strong>.
</div>

<li><strong>Beirut</strong>: Distribution of <strong>hygiene kits and urgent needs</strong> for families in shelters, alongside mental health sessions.
</li>
<li><strong>Beqaa</strong>: Distribution of <strong>medicine</strong> to displaced people in <strong>remote areas</strong>, in addition to the provision of emotional support.
</li>
<li><strong>Chouf</strong>: Distribution of <strong>books, toys and entertainment</strong> for children, accompanied by interactive sessions.

<div><strong>2) Long-term response</strong>: JCI Lebanon is committed to providing <strong>strategic and sustainable solutions</strong> to the challenges emerging from the current attacks and

<div>unfolding humanitarian crisis. These initiatives will be established in response to the <strong>subsequent needs and available resources</strong>, and will be in line with JCI RISE, primarily tackling Mental Health &amp; Wellbeing, Economic Recovery and Workforce Empowerment.

</div>
<div><strong>Junior Chamber International </strong>(JCI) is an <strong>youth leadership organization</strong>. JCI develops young leaders across 120 countries by empowering personal growth, creating community impact, fostering international cooperation, and supporting business and entrepreneurship. JCI is not a charity or relief organization. Since 2006, JCI Lebanon has been shaping the <strong>future of youth leadership in Lebanon</strong>, across three local organizations: JCI Beirut, JCI Beqaa and JCI AUB.

<div>➤ <strong>YOUR DONATIONS</strong>

<div>0% of the donations will be used for internal operations. <strong>100% of the proceeds will be distributed to support JCI Lebanon's crisis response, as mentioned above.</strong> The fundraiser host, Marie Khalife, was the 2025 JCI Lebanon President, and currently supports the National Board as Immediate Past President. Over the last 8 years, Marie has occupied various roles within JCI, notably leading <strong>JCI Lebanon's crisis response in 2024 and 2025</strong> - "Rebuilding for Lebanon". She is based in Switzerland, allowing her to collect the donations and to personally transfer their entirety to JCI Lebanon. A report will be provided to donors at a later date.
