Hello everyone,
I am excited to announce that I am on a medical mission! I recently joined forces with my college’s Global Medical Brigade organization to provide FREE medical and dental services to rural areas in Panama! Global Brigades (GMB) is a nonprofit that empowers communities in Honduras, Panama, Ghana, Nicaragua, and Greece to meet their health and economic goals through local teams and international volunteers like myself. In January 2020, I am traveling to Panama for seven days with a group of Wellesley College and University of Maryland students to set up a medical/dental clinic. Working alongside local health care professionals as they provide pro bono consultations and medication to patients in the community, my responsibilities will include assisting with patient intakes, triage, medical packing, and health education. By providing consistent health care and educational tools, we are not only improving quality of life in this region but also making strides towards our ultimate goal of equal health care access for all people.
To participate in this brigade, I need to raise $2,500.00. Your donations will allow me to afford flight, local travel, and lodging expenses, as well as pay for the medications our clinic will provide. Any donation is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks for your support!
