Jaz & Peter's IVF Journey

Hi, it's Jaz and Pete - we would love to share our story with you.

At 15 months old, Jaz was diagnosed with a very aggressive kind of Leukaemia and was given a very low chance of survival. She spent months in the hospital, underwent chemotherapy, and had a blood transfusion from her beautiful older sister, which ultimately saved her life.

Jaz grew up to be happy and healthy and feels so blessed to have found a caring, empathetic man in Peter. But cancer has taken a lot from Jaz. Countless checkups, blood tests, echocardiograms and lung function tests have always been a part of her life. It has taken some things away, and for the longest time, we thought it had also taken our ability to have a child.

Just over a year ago, we underwent additional testing and were told that we have hope of starting a family but will need a lot of specialised medical help. With our medical history, our fertility specialist predicts that the costs will total over $20,000, which can feel like a lot for newlyweds! We have set up this Gofundme for anyone who may want to contribute to starting our little family.
