Jayden Cole Carnine

On Thursday May 25, 2023 Jayden went in to get a CT scan for a bump on his head that was believed to just be a cyst. He had previously been suffering migraines but the two didn’t seem related. He’s been playing, going to school and being an all around boy with no issues but headaches, which for his age could be normal with hitting puberty.

Saturday, May 27th Gabbie got a call from the doctor with the results. Results that have now forever changed their family’s life. Jayden was diagnosed with a malignant tumor the size of a baseball on the right back side of his brain. The tumor is what the bump was, coming through the skull.

There is a branch of the tumor going through the width of his brain and another part that is also affecting a main vein in his brain. He is scheduled for surgery this Thursday, June 1st in the morning. During that surgery, they will be removing as much of the tumor as they can as well as a portion of his skull. Samples of the tissue and fluid will be send off for biopsy. From there they will find out what kind of cancer, how progressed it is, treatment options, plastic surgery and everything else associated with what’s going on. Jayden is in good spirits, scared but knows that the doctors are doing everything they can to help him beat this! Family is taking it one day at a time. Many have asked how they can help, so for now we figured this was the easiest way for those that want to help, can. Meals, gas and medical bills will be a stressor and any alleviation of that we know Gabbie would greatly appreciate. Please pray for our sweet Jayden and his family.
