Brittany is a single mum of three children under 5

Jayce is 4 (5 in July)

On Monday the 14th of May Jayce had a seizure that lasted 48 minutes he was postictal for 3 hours. Jayce was admitted to hospital and put on to seizure medication. On Tuesday night he was discharged with advice that if seizures continue 24 hours after discharge to return to hospital. On Wednesday morning at 4am Jayce had another seizure and then again at 11am. Jayce returned to hospital and continued to have another 3 seizures. He was admitted, changed seizure medication 3 times. Over night experienced another seizure and on Thursday had another 3 seizures. Finally on Friday morning he had a MRI done. Whilst Jayce was under anaesthesia having his MRI done Brittany and Jayden, Jayces parents received a phone call saying the doctors needed to see them on the ward. When returning to the ward Brittany and Jayden were taken into a room where they were told “there is no easy way of saying this but Jayce has a brain tumour and to us who are specialist it looks malignant (cancerous). Jayce has a 4cm X 4cm brain tumour with a cyst and excessive swelling on the frontal left side lobe situated on a main artery he will be having major open brain surgery on Friday the 25th of May. He will then be in ICU for the following days and depending how surgery goes he will need to stay in hospital and have chemo and radiation. It’s looking like a lengthy stay in hospital. Any Money that isnt used the family will donate.
