Hello Friends and Family,
As you knowJason and I are both over 37 years old and this is our first marriage and we don’t have any kids (now you will know why). We have been married for over seven years (wooaaa, that's long time already). And some of you know that in the past four years we lost three babies due to miscarriage (this is a very touchy subject for both of us.... tears). I was in the first trimester on all occurrences. The last two losses, the babies heart beat stopped between eight to nine weeks and for both of them I did a D&C. Unfortunately, the only examination they made on both fetuses was pathological and everything was normal. None of them had their DNA tested, as the doctors at the time said that I need to lose at least four babies for them to be able to do any further tests on the fetus (really?????? they claim its was insurance rules). After our third loss, I was referred to maternal fetal medicine and they required lots of blood tests, they didn’t find anything that could be the reason for our losses. Then they referred us to the fertility center (we did more genetic testing there - and everything looks good)
The fertility center has being treating Jay and I for over two years and we did a couple of different procedures. Last year we spent over $2,000 on those treatments, those expenses were related to injections (that my insurance don’t cover), Femara, Clomid and IUIs (Artificial Insemination). They are also treating Jason as he deals with low testosterone, which is related to motor vehicle accidents (you probably knew about that) and damage to his pituitary gland (we found out about this in the pass 4-3 years).
Here is a summary in Jason's battle. In 2009 Jay was involved on a no-fault car accident that totaled his car, from that accident he ended up having a neck fusion surgery. Six months after his surgery, while coming back from work he got rear ended while at a stop sign and that second accident broke the surgical fusion. With that, Jason had to have reconstructive surgery to repair the damage to the fusion. It has been seven years since the first accident and he still receives pain treatments monthly. The fertility center is treating him for low testosterone, as it related to the accidents and other factors, such as: pain medication, anti-depressants and pituitary dysfunction due a head trauma from the accidents. In the past seven years we have had out of pocket expenses of over $60,000 on his pain treatments and surgeries.
Yes, we both work full time and part of our income is to cover Jason's medical expenses and treatments. We don’t know how many more years Jay will be able to work, as he is already working from home and one of his medical requirements to not be sitting down for more than four hours and he works from bed for the rest of the day.
We decided to try on IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) treatment this year (as we aren't getting any younger -  this will be our last shot). IVF's treatmentand medication isn't cover by any of our insurances. The procedure will cost us $9,990.00 and medications $5,700.00, that is total of $15,690.00 per treatment with 60% chance of generate a full term and healthy baby. That’s why we decided to ask for your support.
We are asking you to consider helping us to have a family, so we can, share our love, and pass on our culture and traditions.
Thank you so much for your consideration and your time.
