Jay and Family

While this is not typically something I would do, there are moments in life when one must step up. I am embarking on a fundraising campaign for the benefit of my father and our family. Over the past two weeks, nearly three, my father has been in the hospital, requiring an air transfer to a different city due to a stroke necessitating surgery. Additionally, we discovered his kidneys were failing and his heart was perilously close to heart failure.

This situation has imposed considerable hardships upon my family. Not only have we had to make out-of-town journeys, but we've also had to forgo our work commitments. Regrettably, our interactions with his insurance provider have proven less than cooperative, increasing the already profound stress on my parents.

Some of you have had the pleasure of meeting my father- either in person, via a phone call or over the internet. He is a hardworking and loving patriarch to our family. As a father, husband, brother-in-law, grandfather, and friend, he pours his heart and soul into caring for those he loves, as well as his professional pursuits. He has been nothing but supportive of our family, and I feel as though now is the time to do the same for him.

Presently, our household has had a decrease in income due to having to take time off of work to be their for him, and my parents are grappling with financial challenges.

In this trying time, any contribution, no matter how modest, would be of immense value and deeply appreciated.
