Hi! My name is Jax Gorski, and I’ve been involved in Scouting since the first grade — over 11 years now. Scouting has taught me leadership, service, and the importance of giving back to my community. As I work toward earning the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Scouting, I have the opportunity to lead a service project that will make a lasting difference in my community.
For my Eagle Project, I’ve chosen to update the gardening setup at Redwood Christian (https://www.rcs.edu/), a local elementary school. Redwood Christian School uses its garden to teach students valuable lessons about gardening — but its current setup requires some care and rebuilding.
As part of my project, I will be:
- Building new garden trough stands
- Replacing the soil and contents of the existing troughs
- Installing a new composter to help the students learn about waste reduction and soil enrichment
This project will help provide the students with a hands-on, sustainable learning space for years to come.
All donations will go directly toward materials and supplies for the school’s garden, such as wood, soil, composting equipment, and hardware. Any amount you can give — large or small — will make a difference and is greatly appreciated. Any remaining funds will be donated to Redwood Christian School.
Thank you so much for helping me make this project possible and supporting both my Eagle journey and the students who will benefit from this garden!
