Javi’s Fight Against Colorectal Cancer

Hello everyone, I didn’t think it would ever come to a time when I found myself creating an account for a loved one. Unfortunately, that time has come unexpectedly. My stepfather who I considered to be more than a dad to me, a best friend, was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer two months ago. Although he has insurance they still have not met their deductible or out-of-pocket fees. His treatment is going to consist of him completing 12 chemo sessions and the possibility of radiation therapy. With that being said he will be laid off from work without pay, so he can focus on putting his health first. Due to him being the main provider, the family and I are doing everything we can to help raise money to cover his medical bills and other expenses.Therefore, I understand that times are rough for everyone in this economy and we may not reach a certain goal here, but honestly, anything helps to get him started on his journey to beat cancer. I can go on and on writing a story about how much my stepfather means to not only me, but to my mother and the rest of the family. The one thing I want y'all to take away from this is that he is always putting others before himself no matter what situation it is. He truly has the biggest heart and I hope he can get the chance to fight this cancer and heal from this. Thank you very much for taking the time to read this.
