Jasons Road to Recovery After Tragic Accident
Donation protected
Hello everyone!
My name is Maddie. I created this GoFundMe in hopes of helping my cousin get the proper necessities that his everyday life now requires.
On this past Christmas Eve, he was on his way to buy last-minute Christmas presents for family members after being told a few more people would be attending a Christmas gathering, Jason didn't want anyone to go without a gift. He was parked at a stoplight when a pickup truck rear-ended him going 38 MPH, never hitting the brakes. This resulted in Jason obtaining major injuries and being told he would never walk again. They deemed him paralyzed. He underwent numerous infections and surgeries during his three-month stay at the hospital, all while keeping a positive outlook on his new condition. He has gone through extensive physical therapy during his stay and is facing things nobody should have to. After being told such heart-wrenching news, he stayed optimistic and determined.
Recently, he was able to return home with the constant help of aides and his mother, Nicole Salvesen, girlfriend Debbie and his father Bob who work tirelessly to help as much as they can. Soon after returning home, an infection spread and he was brought back to the hospital for another surgery. He will be there for about another month, once again.
His family and loved ones can only do so much. In order to stay on this road to recovery, he needs a handicap van to transport him to and from physical therapy and doctors appointments. That is what this page is for. On top of the months spent in the hospital, equipment needed to help Jason live a normal life and home renovations needed to accompany a handicap person.
I know the ways of the world fall hard on everyone, but absolutely anything helps. Jason is a father, a son, and a friend. He is loved by those who get the pleasure of knowing him, and he deserves the help that he can get from anyone who is willing to give it. Just a prayer goes a long way too.
Thank you and God bless you.
