Jason Passeri started coaching in 1995 at John Tobler Gymnastics, and then began his career at Rosemount High School in 1998. This is his 23rd season as head coach of the Irish. In that time, Jason has amassed a record of 120 wins and 63 losses in dual meets and has 24 Invitational Championships. Jason is also the director and head coach of the District 196 Community Ed program since 1999, and he is the head coach of the Midwest Amateur Gymnastics Association (M.A.G.A) program.
Jason has won many coaching awards including:
· Midwest Amateur Gymnastics Coach of the Year - 2005, 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014, 2018, 2019
· Section 3AA Coach of the Year - 2009, 2012, 2015, 2016
· Section 1AA Coach of the Year - 2019
Jason and his wife Shelly were married in 1999, and they have two daughters, Arianna and Olivia. They have two dogs named Eli & Peyton. Jason is a huge Colts & Vikings fan! Jason’s family lives in Rosemount, MN, and they have committed themselves to this community. Jason has had several opportunities over the years to leave Rosemount, MN, but he declined as he loves his community that much. Jason is a supporter of all of our High School sports and always encourages kids to do some kind of sport, as he feels it makes kids more well-rounded. He takes part in fundraising for the schools and sports activities every year. He is a big dog lover who has fostered many dogs over the years. Jason will be the first one to support local businesses, and he will gladly refer you to someone that can help you with your needs. He loves to talk and joke around and will bring a smile to anyone he meets. At this time of COVID-19, Jason is unemployed as all the sports have been shut down. There is no telling, at this time, if there will be a summer program for the M.A.G.A group or the huge Community Ed program that he directs. If you would like to help Jason and his family, who has always been quick to help others, please give what you can. We want him to come back strong as a coach and a community supporter! THANK YOU!!!
