Jason Will Be There For You - Be There For Him!

Donation protected
Jason is the first one to spring into action when any of his friends need help. Now it is time for you to help him when he needs it most.

Jason’s recent divorce has left him with a $15,000 dept that he is struggling to repay. The purpose of this campaign is to make a dent in that debt. I hope you will not only contribute but also will share this post with your network.

Here is more about Jason’s story and why you should contribute:

Jason opens his heart to everyone. When any of Jason’s friends are in need, he is quick to support them with deep empathy and no judgment. He instantly provides for them emotionally, physically, and financially - sometimes to his own detriment.

Here are a few examples of Jason's generosity in action:
  • Early during the COVID-19 pandemic, Jason sold the craft beer collection he had been accumulating little-by-little for years and donated 100% of the profit to friends whose jobs were impacted by the pandemic. He did not keep a single dime.

  • When a friend lost their belongings in a fire, he organized a GoFundMe to help, himself hosting a dinner that raised $200.

  • When Nashville flooded in 2010, he rushed there to help with relief efforts, going back there in 2020 to help with efforts to help residents after tornadoes ravished the area.

  • Jason continues to volunteer for the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Feed Our Homeless, and Blood:Water (clean water and HIV treatment/medications for East Africa).

While Jason is quick to help others, he rarely asks for help for himself.

Now he needs your help. Please donate what you can to support Jason and share this campaign.

Jason’s recent divorce has left him in a major financial deficit. His current salary is significantly less than it was at the time of the divorce agreement. Despite efforts to reduce his monthly expenditures - including moving to a less expensive home and purchasing a less expensive car - currently, it is nearly impossible for him to repay the current debt.

This financial burden has been taking a toll on Jason’s mental health. Your donation will help fill the gap and set Jason on a path toward improved mental health.

Jason is very open about his struggles with mental health because he hopes that his experiences will help others dealing with similar issues. Many people do not know that some of those challenges resulted from a very difficult childhood and early adulthood.

While his father left Jason and his sister with many physical scars that healed, the mental ones linger. It would have been easy for Jason to blame the violence and his resulting PTSD for a life of crime, drug addiction, and abuse toward those around him.

Instead, Jason chose a different path.

Jason struggled to navigate his journey into adulthood - including a short stint where he was forced to live on the streets. He pulled himself up by his bootstraps and found a job and a place to live, and he began to do what he had always done - build a community.

Building Communities is one of Jason’s greatest strengths.

  • Jason’s first community was coffee - he worked at coffee shops, becoming an expert at his craft - first as a barista, then helping open and run coffee shops.

  • His second community was the craft beer industry, where he often conducted paid tastings to send the money to charities.

  • His third community was around social media - Jason became an expert - working at a marketing agency, speaking at conferences, and even serving as a regular TV guest.

  • His fourth community was about hiking and photography of nature and waterfalls. Almost every weekend, he heads out with friends (or with his trusty dog - Kato) to “chase” new waterfalls, photograph them, and refresh his mental state.

Today, Jason has built a life of significance. He has emerged from his early turmoil as one of the warmest, most generous, and kindest humans on the planet. Now he needs your help. You are part of Jason’s community.

He would not ask you for help, but I will. Please donate what you can. Text Jason. Invite him to join you on an adventure. Support him as he will you when you need it.
