Hello,
My name is Sean Flynn and I am fund-raising in response to an article some of you may have seen on Nextdoor Tahoe.
Jason is a great kid that could use a little thanks from our community.
Here is some of what was posted on Nextdoor that describes in one act on one day what a great kid Jason is.
Some of you may know Jason and have seen him walking up or down Northwoods. A few weeks back, many of our neighbors noticed him picking up trash on the side of Northwoods. He walks to and from work and said the amount of trash dismayed him so he decided to become a solution to this problem. I also stopped to see if he needed a ride this same day and then noticed the trash bag. He let me know he had had the day off and wanted to help clean up – all on his own with no other help and for multiple hours – in fact, most of the day. He is a very good kid who deserves a huge thanks. I am not sure of Jason’s situation but it is a very long walk to New Moon and back (his work place) from Tahoe Donner down Northwoods. He does it all the time in all weather and always has a smile. If you ever see him, you will notice this a not an easy walk but he does it anyway and is always in a good mood.
If a young adult like Jason used his time off to help our community, I am hoping we can show our gratitude by helping him get an e-bike to travel to and from work. I will also talk to New Moon and some local bike shops but am hoping to start the fund-raising now so Jason hopefully can have a new bike for summer.
Thank you very much for helping to send a message to Jason that he is appreciated and that actions like his may help inspire others to also contribute to our community.
Thank you.
