Jason & Cristina Dyer Adoption Journey!

Starting 3+ yrs ago, we agreed it was time to start a family. Little did we know despite all of our intentional efforts, seeing multiple doctors and vigorous testing, the Lord had different plans for us than to conceive naturally. After our last doctors visit, we had been placed in the "Unexplained Fertility" category and left with a difficult decision to make. Do we forcibly try our hand with IVF or look for another way to expand our family? We never felt God's true peace about IVF, so we discussed adoption. At that moment, it was the Lord's calling granting us peace in this decision to parent a child that may already be on this earth needing a loving family!

Since then, we have begun our adoption certification, prepping our babies room, and are beginning to raise funds. Our social worker has discussed multiple adoption avenues that may arise:

1) The state of Arizona already has a child in the foster care system ready for us to adopt, costing us no money for finalization.

2) Private adoption directly through our social worker and the birth mother, costing us under $10,000 in adoption and legal fees.

3) Adoption agency matchup. This avenue is the most costly starting at a minimum of $30,000.

To stay on the safe side of things, we are trying to raise a minimum of $30,000 in coordination with grants, scholarships, and private fundraising with family, friends, and our community. These funds go directly to any and all adoption and legal fees.
